Staff friendly and attentive. Clean and nice things like biscuits, chocolates, beds turned down with both a weather forecast and horoscope on your pillow! Rooms big enough. Food average at best. Bar not open. Hotel generally a little tired.

L'Hotel Majoni ha quel sapore anni 80 che a me è piaciuto. Il personale gentilissimo. Parcheggio sempre presente e gratuito, sebbene sia a 5 minuti dalla Piazza centrale. Buona la colazione a buffet. Suggerirei 3 cose: il cambio lenzuola ogni 2 giorni mi pare eccessivo, anche per gli asciugamani opterei per un approccio più green. Toglierei i bicchieri in plastica. Questo vale anche per molte lampadine che scaldano come forni! Inoltre nella hall o sul davanzale delle enormi finestre qualche bella pianta (viva) sarebbe la ciliegina sulla torta. La camera con il balcone affacciato sulle Tofane è da urlo.

Ottimo come al solito ma con qualcosa da migliorar

La prima volta al Majoni e’ stata circa 13 anni fa. Poi siamo tornati credo 5/6 volte sia in estate che in inverno. Tutto perfetto come al solito. Comodo il parcheggio, gentilissimo il personale. Ottima pulizia. Se proprio dovessi fare un appunto quello riguarda la parte ristorazione sia della colazione che della cena. Purtroppo non abbiamo trovato più la cucina espressa, che, nonostante fosse sempre inserita nel servizio a buffet, aumentava il livello qualitativo della cena. Anche la carta dei vini dovrebbe essere necessariamente ampliata (solo due etichette tra l’altro sconosciute non si addice ad un 4 stelle). Anche la colazione un pochino scarna . Ecco solo questo aspetto che consiglierei di migliorare sempre nell’interesse di una nostra futura permanenza nell’hotel.

L'edificio, con infissi, balconi e inserti in legno, rispetta la tipica tipologia architettonica ampezzana. I locali comuni e le camere sono arredati con eleganza, con una vaga atmosfera Anni 80-90 del secolo scorso, a cui forse risale la decorazione d'interni. Potrebbe giovare uno svecchiamento degli ambienti (con meno moquette e gres), ma mantenendo il legame con lo stile locale, senza fughe nell'iper-contemporaneo. Tutto il personale è cordiale, disponibile e professionale. Ottimo il servizio di ristorazione, sia a colazione sia a cena. La cena è a buffet e a libero servizio con ampia possibilità di scelta tra entrée, primi, secondi piatti e contorni, tutti ben cucinati e presentati. In conclusione è un ottimo hotel a 4 stelle con servizi pienamente adeguati alla categoria e un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo. Soggiorno in agosto 2019.

The hotel is much more of a 3 star than a 4 star. The price reflects that so it’s a good value for Cortina. The location is great, very convenient to town and the bus to the lifts. The rooms are quite small and pretty basic. The breakfast is just adequate and the only fruit available each day was a bowl of unripe kiwis. The lobby area is large and comfortable but an eclectic mix of furniture.

a nice old hotel

L'hotel è bello ma necessità di manutenzione. Pittura delle finestre da ripassare, tappi dei lavandini che perdono, tetto in metallo vicino alle finestre che si sta sollevando. Si nota, appunto, la mancanza di manutenzione. La cosa meno piacevole è che la sala pranzo non ha abbastanza spazio. Se l'hotel è pieno gli ospiti non hanno mai lo stesso tavolo. Noi dovevamo cenare alle 20,30 quando il buffet era ormai o quasi freddo o esaurito. Il personale compensa con una attenzione particolare, ma è evidente che la sala pranzo è sottodimensionata. Dovrebbe essere migliorato anche il servizio di pulizia delle stanze. Una sola persona addetta alla pulizia per 3 piani ci sembra veramente poco.

Hotel Majoni-good value for money

We are just back from our 1 week skiing holiday in Cortina and we were extremely happy with our stay. The location is very convenient, just 2 steps from the bus stop which was taking us to the lift station. The service from the manager and all his staff was perfect, they very helpful and friendly. The hotel is very clean and our best experience was definitely the food :) Breakfast and dinner buffet with tons of great food...We feel we've made a great deal with this booking although our room would benefit from some remodelling, the quality of service and food made up for this. We would definitely recommend this hotel to those who look for a good value hotel and love to have a great selection of food.
