"Very charming old farmhouse Inn. Friendly staff who were accomodating and helpful. Room was not as advertised on Website - it was fine but was not as nice as it appeared in the marketing photos. Window air conditioner old and very loud and the room smelled a bit musty. Breakfast was good and exceeded our expectations but the dinner was just mediocre."

"Our room was surprisingly large! I didn't realize "delux" meant a full on apartment! Full living room, kitchen, bathroom (complete with jacuzzi tub!) and bedroom. We were only there for one night, but it was a very pleasant experience. The value to space was amazing. Yes, the property is a bit dated, but it is clean and well maintained. The one staff member was pleasant and bright even though we rolled in after 10pm Saturday night. We didn't explore the property much as we were just there for the night and leaving the next morning. We enjoyed our stay!"

"Nice older property. We stayed in one of the upstairs log cabin rooms (nice) and one of the older motel style rooms elsewhere on the property. I don't recommend the older motel style rooms - small and packed with furniture and the HVAC seemed to be oversized (in the summer the HVAC wasn't drying the room so it felt cool, but moist). The upstairs log cabin rooms I would recommend - however, not the rooms near the office (room 10, 11, 12). Why you ask? Well the stairs to climb are over the break chair and table for the lady who runs the office. To say she is a chain smoker is being kind to chain smokers... she is constantly in this chair and as you climb the stairs all you smell is her second hand smoke. Not a pleasant experience to enjoy your stay at the Nootka Lodge."

"We had a nice two day stay at the Inn. We had a beautiful king room on the second floor. The bathroom was small but clean and functional . We had dinner both nights at the restaurant/bar. The food and drinks were delicious. The first night we had live entertainment with the open mic night. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The weekday breakfast was a little sparse, but did the trick. The weekend breakfast menu offered a few more hot options. We have stayed at The Franconia Inn many times, and we will be back again!"
