"The location was very convenient. We had stayed here before but it was totally redone and beautiful. Staff was very friendly. Bed was very comfortable and room was beautiful. My favorite was the farm fresh yogurt machine you could add granola, nuts, cranberries and brown sugar to but had run out. The staff told me they would make more and it was close to 10:00 closing time for the continental breakfast! We would definitely go there again on our trip upstate!!!"

"Best budget accommodation we have experienced in the region. Very comfortable with pleasing grounds, and an excellent location, just minutes outside of Great Barrington. Very clean, with a good shower and comfy bed. Limited amenities but signage indicated guests here have access to the offerings at the main inn nearby. Self-check-in worked fine, and in the morning we discovered the common room with good coffee, relaxing views of the garden and woods out the back, and an in-progress puzzle. ...

If you are hoping for a charming Berkshire bed and breakfast with a cooked breakfast and interaction with your host, you will be disappointed. "The keyless app check in didnt work on my brand new phone (screen to take photo of government ID was black, no photo could be taken, whether that was an app issue or a setting on my phone Im not sure?) but I was able to text the link to my husband and his older model phone worked to secure the room ID and key code. Such a great staff, very clean room, and dinner was fantastic. Thanks for the free continental breakfast and house made granola to take home as well. "

"Very nice stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Lake Katrine, NY. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean. We loved the complementary soap, shampoo and other sundries. Very convenient! Shower was consistently hot. Grind your own coffee 24/7 was the best. Continental breakfast was not bad and free. Location is close (within 15 minutes) of most attractions. This hotel is a winner!"

For a very reasonable price, you are close to all the culture of Lenox and the rest of the Berkshires and you have Lake Laurel and October Mountain a short distance away. It's on a main road, so it's very easy to get where you're going, but traffic at night is minimal, so it's easy to get a peaceful rest.
