"Hotel: 5 Stars | Restaurant: 3.5 Stars
We loved our stay at The Guest House at Graceland and would absolutely give the hotel itself 5 stars. The Elvis movie night is excellent and such a fun touch for Elvis fans. They also offer complimentary PB&J sandwiches at 9 PM, which is a really cool and unique idea if that's your thing. Those little Elvis-inspired touches make staying here special.
Unfortunately, the EP BAR & GRILL wasn't quite at the same level
Our dinner food was actually pretty good, and we enjoyed sitting at the bar. However, I couldn't help but notice an overflowing garbage can behind the hostess station, with trash spilling onto the floor. When something that visible to guests isn't being taken care of, it naturally makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the areas you can't see, including the kitchen.
Dessert was a bummer. I ordered the peach cobbler expecting a warm Southern-style cobbler with ice cream. Instead, it wasn't warm, the topping was doughy in places with only a few crispy areas, and the peaches tasted more like canned or prepared peaches than a fresh cobbler. Even the vanilla ice cream had that yellow, inexpensive food-service appearance. For the price, I expected much better in the SOUTH.
Overall, we really enjoyed the Guest House itself. It's a beautiful hotel, the Elvis touches are fantastic, and the evening activities add something you don't get at an ordinary hotel. The restaurant dinner was good, but the cleanliness needs work."
