"Nice hotel, in older side of building could do with modernising and revamp."

"Great location, clean room and friendly staff and topped off with a great breakfast."

"Hotel was very good, but a little out in the sticks. The food was typical pub grub, but well cooked on the premises. No other pubs, shops or restaurants in the village and there are very few restaurants in the nearest town Bishop Auckland."

"The staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival. The room was comfortable, clean and we slept very well. The spa was nice to relax in and worth paying the extra £20 per person for as you could use it all day. Breakfast was freshly cooked and they had gluten free toast ands croissants and the restaurant food was delicious with a good choice of gluten free options."

"Was outdated and the room smelt fusty, sofa bed was horrific! Staff especially the lady who was on the desk on arrival was super good and helpful."
