"This resort was an enormous disappointment and felt like a complete misrepresentation of what was advertised. The beach was one of the biggest letdowns there was very little actual beach space, and it was not swimmable, which completely undermines the vacation experience. The pool chairs were extremely uncomfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the resort was dreary and uninspired. Everything was beige and generic, with the feel of a Midwest airport hotel rather than a luxury Caribbean...

"This was the best hotel stay we have ever experienced. Upon arrival we were greeted with the friendliest reception staff. The entire week that was carried through with every staff member we encountered. Our room was very clean and daily housekeeping kept it sparkling all week. The grounds are gorgeous and the walk through the gardens to the beach took my breath every time. We are already planning our return trip next year. "

"The hotel location is excellent to walk everywhere - beach, restaurants, shops. The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable, especially Elena. The room was spacious, clean and had everything you need for a relaxing beach vacation. The breakfast is improved from last year and has more options to choose from. The restaurant staff could improve in greeting clients and restaurant cleanness."

"The rooms where clean however there is not place to turn a/c down so it was a little cold in the rooms. The rsturant right by the water was my fav during happy hour. It is a more quiet hotel so not for the party folk! Got us a cab any time we needed. most staff were nice but a couple seemed annoyed. "

"Our stay here was lovely. The property itself and room was nice. The restaurant area with included breakfast was very pretty and had a lot of charm. Jennifer, the server was a friendly addition and knew our morning order by the second day. We were disappointed that by 9pm all the outdoor lights and music were shut off by the pool/courtyard. We found this to be really early, particularly after a full day when you look forward to quietly relaxing with a glass of wine. This was true all 3...

"The room good, very clean.the kitchen was not good. No coffee pot, only espresso. You had to hold the toaster down manually. Only 1 outlet so you could only use1 appliance at a time.no hot water in the sink. The hotel itself was clean but the whole surrounding area was littered with rubbish. "

"The room was very clean and well kept. Issues we had included a TV that suddenly stopped working while we watched and the lights in the bathroom flickered uncontrollably. We weren’t in the room much, so it didn’t affect us too much. However, the property itself was amazing with breathtaking views of the water and boats nearby. "This was our first time staying on the French side, at Esmeralda. Overall, it is a decent resort; it consists of small villages, each containing four guest rooms. The rooms themselves are spacious and clean, and every village shares a swimming pool among its four units. The resort grounds feature a French restaurant serving very delicious food. Another nice perk is that the resort has its own private beach area, for which you can make reservations. There is a designated parking spot right next...
