Farmstay in Cumberland County

"Great location for our visit to Longwood University. Hotel is older but with the updates, it seems they tried to stay true to character of the building and simplicity of needs. All staff that we encountered were very nice/polite and helpful. Room was spacious,comfortable,simple and clean all that you need. As some other reviews state they could hear the noise from the club/bar behind the hotel, that is true, but it was not too bad for us, we were top floor and furthest away from it, just had a muffled sound. Parking is behind the hotel, seemed to have plenty of parking to accommodate the hotel and there is a walk upwards with steps to get back to front of hotel for entry. Did not try the restaurant downstairs (reviews were very divided) but did try Effinghams Cafe located in the lobby. Again, simple, classic little cafe, filled with charm and character and the staff were pleasant and great! Hotel Weyanoke will be our go to when visiting Farmville!"
