"I love staying at The Woodsman for the nostalgic log cabin, Twin Peaks, 90s grandma vibes (I promise those are all compliments coming from me)! The lodge itself and the rooms are so cozy looking, with everything woodsy or log cabin themed. I loved the giant 90s television - first time I've watched cable tv in years! Unfortunately the cleanliness and comfort in the room could be improved. Our shower curtain liner was covered in mold (room 14). The room had a strong air freshener smell when we walked in, which was off-putting. I couldn't find a plug-in to remove, so I'm assuming they sprayed something. The smell dissipated in an hour or so. The rest of the room was reasonably clean, just dusty in the corners. The air conditioner was appreciated, but wouldn't go below 73 degrees and dried the air out considerably. We woke up feeling like raisins from the dry air, and it was difficult sleeping in stuffy temperatures (it was surprising it didn't cool off more as it was 48 outside overnight). Overall I would absolutely stay here again, mostly for the vibes and nostalgia! I do hope the owners take these notes into account to make it a more comfortable stay, as I hope to see the lodge succeed for decades to come!"

"Our cabin was clean and well stocked. Generous bedding and comfortable beds. AC worked well even in the heat. All appliances and the grill worked and there were tons of kitchen utensils. Very impressed with the accommodations. The property itself is run down. Country Store has been closed for years. Putt putt unusable, amenities closed. While we were there the hot tub and pool had a reaction and turned green & brown so we did not go in. Location on the Deshutes river and proximity to Lava Lands were huge pluses. Property was beautiful, with deer, bunnies, and otters spotted during our stay. We would stay again."

"The property is lovely and right off the main route. The host was super friendly and helpful when needed. The cabins were really cute and clean. The only issue was that the bed was really hard, and I usually like a firmer bed but it was even uncomfortable for me."

"What a great place, true value for your money. Cabins in the woods with a lake, absolutely amazing place/view. Very friendly staff. The cabin was clean and comfortable. They even offer boat valet services, put in and took out boat, plus stored my trailer. We loved it so much we booked another trip within the 1st 12 hours. A nice little gem in the middle of nowhere."
