"Pros: Owners are nice, area is quiet, room is spacious and clean, dinner is excellent, good view of the lake. Some staff very nice. Cons: every morning for breakfast the staff is different and causes stress on where it is okay to sit. One actually made a scene and embarrassed us. Breakfast is small and limited, boring after a couple of days. A couple staff members were rude during dinner. "I went to Engelberg for a restful weekend of walking and was very happy with my stay. From arrival to departure the ladies who operate the hotel were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, and they are well stocked with comforts like snacks and wine (very fairly priced too!) for late night goodies. I would recommend them and hope to stay again another time."

"We stayed in the Lopper Suite for 5 nights. The view from our room was magnificent. The property is well maintained and within very short walking distance of both the train and ferry stations. Excellent location with stunning view! Our room was spacious with a bedroom and sitting area. We used AC in the evening and our bed was very comfortable. Staff were very helpful, attentive and kind. We highly recommend this property."
