"We needed a landing spot for a long drive to the beach and this place fit the bill. In fact, many of the guests were doing the same thing. Check in was easy. "I was delighted to find the appearance of the hotel to look like a 1950's motel. It was so appropriate since we were going back in time to see Mt. Airy (Mayberry). However everything was clean and new looking. The continental breakfast was wonderful with buttermilk biscuits like Grandma use to make. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. It was a great trip and the hotel made a positive difference."

"Property has seen better days. The ice machine on the first floor was literally full of dirt and I had to find a different one. The breakfast was the worst I’ve seen at a low-cost hotel ever. No options to purchase any items from the front desk like you would find at a Marriott property. I also don’t really care for this neighborhood and area. it didn’t feel very safe."
