"I hesitated to book this hotel because of a few negative reviews, but after doing my research and trusting my instincts, I’m SO glad I chose it. If you want an experience that guarantees amazing memories, this is the place. The hotel is literally steps from the beach; any closer and you’d be sleeping on it. A mall with affordable food, European brands, local shops, and international options is just a few feet away, so you’ll never run out of things to eat or explore. Prefer to stay on the property? You can. The food at Kokau is outstanding (order the Posta Cartagenera!), and the poolside and outdoor restaurants are just as good. There’s even a gelateria with every sweet treat imaginable. Plenty of relaxing spaces, ocean breeze, and fun areas to enjoy watching a soccer game, having a beer or reading a book. We upgraded to access the 30th floor, and it was worth every penny; excellent breakfast and afternoon buffets with traditional and international food options. Our one‑bedroom king suite was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The entire property is kept in top condition. Huge thanks to Daniel at reception for the warm welcome. Manuel Franco and Alexis made our pool cabana experience feel like royalty for my birthday. Fernanda perfected our morning "tinto" and taught us about local fruits. And you must book a coffee‑grounds massage with Nicole—professional, knowledgeable, and exceptional. You will not regret staying here."

"Stayed for 3 days with my family, we enjoyed the facility and the staff was friendly. The only thing is the pool on the main level closes at 6 or 7pm. The rooftop pool closes at 12am but it was not kid friendly in my opinion. More a younger adult only crowd and it’s a small space. Overall had a good experience and would recommend this hotel."

"My stay at Mood Matuna was amazing and made my birthday trip feel perfect. Before I arrived, Maria, Daniel, and the rest of the staff communicated with me through WhatsApp and helped with transportation, decorations, breakfast, excursions, dinner reservations, water, ice, and the sunset cruise. They answered every question with patience and kindness and never made me feel like I was asking too much. The birthday decorations were beautiful and looked even better in person. The balloons, flowers, rose petals, candles, wine, and birthday numbers made the room feel so special and were perfect for pictures and videos. I appreciated how clearly they explained the decoration package, pricing, and what was included. They even worked with my arrival time so I could create content. The room was cleaned and reset perfectly every day, and the free breakfast was really good. The staff was helpful, from bringing breakfast to the room when we were rushing to an excursion to helping with towels, water, and ice. The location was perfect, close to restaurants, nightlife, shopping, excursions, and tourist spots. Everything felt easy to get to. My only negatives were no elevator to the suite, and the pool jets were broken until the last day. Even with that, I recommend this hotel and would book here again. "The staff was extremely nice, patient and helpful. The room was nice. It was cleaned everyday. Breakfast was included and was very complete. Loved it. We went up on the terrace several times (furniture needs pillows) and used the small, yet sufficient pool. The hotel is very conveniently located. A busy street does run in front of it, so if you’re sensitive to noise, it may bother you, but it did not bother us. We slept really well in our king size bed. "
