"Hotel is lovely, such a beautiful old building but rooms are modern enough. The reception staff and especially the waiting staff were beyond helpful and friendly. The bar staff in the evening were patient (we had a big group) and thoughtful, we really appreciated it. Would definitely recommend staying here"

"Started out with a rather Kurt check in. We are aware of.the language barrier, but no need for rudeness. Room was okay, was a bit stuffy on an 85 degree day. Breakfast was a real pain. Almost every hotel we have stayed in, only a room number was required. As it turns out they wanted prepayment and made a scene in the service room. Not a terrible stay, but staff could be a little bit more aware of language and cultural differences."

"Solo traveler staying a couple of nights in town and wanted to be within the walls of the city. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Room was perfect for my needs and even had a bathtub so I was able to do a quick load of laundry as I’m currently in the middle of my journey from hiking the alps and making my way around the county. Room was affordable and perfect, my only regret is I wished I would have tried the restaurant attached as their spring menu looked fantastic."

"Getting into the hotel was an absolute nightmare because it requires online check-in to obtain an access code. Never in my worldwide travels have I encountered a hotel without a receptionist or an attendant. No elevator to access upper floors but a very squeaky winding staircase that is unsafe to descent on with a large and heavy suitcase. Ergo, left mine in car. "Nur der Fernseher streikte etwas bei der Bildrate. Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden, auf jeden Fall mit Balkon buchen. Zu Fuß ca. 10 Minuten in die Altstadt."

"Historic property that has been updated to be very comfortable. It is located in the center of the old city. Our room was very nicely appointed and comfortable. The restaurant was not one of our favorites."

"For the one night we stayed it was good. Clean room, comfortable bed and great location. We didn’t purchase the breakfast so can’t comment on the food. We would stay there again. One final note, there is no air conditioning in the room but a fan was provided. Luckily when we stayed it wasn’t too hot so it worked out good. My only other recommendation would be to add blackout blinds or curtains as there were lots of windows with very early sunlight coming into the room."

"very artsy hotel. AFTER i showered I noticed that the shower water was flowing into the separate toilet stall. Staff explained the large water flow is "normal" for that room. The fitness room should be called a "weight room", as there was no cardiovascular equipment, like a treadmill or elliptical in it.
