"We spent two nights in Cuenca to visit one of our workers and while there stayed in the Casa Ordonez. We stayed there because the reviews were so good. We were impressed by the friendliness of the owner and his staff. They were quick to meet all our needs, put us in a better room the second night, arranged tours for us and we just appreciated them so much. Breakfast was very good and different every day! "

"The is a very old quaint hotel. It is adorable and well taken care of. The staff is top notch and go out of their way to meet every need, even before you know you need it. They attend to every detail. The breakfast is prepared and presented very tastefully. The staff make you feel right at home. Located in downtown, it is within walking distance of restaurants and shops. We will return to this diamond in the rough, for future stays in Cuenca. "

"I don understand how this hotel have three and half stars. I would not give this hotel even two stars. Not enough lite, very dark in the room. When I came to the room it was very smelly. I checked the pillows and they were completely yellow. I went to the reception and I asked for new pillows.
