"Basically, everything works at the Mayan. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean with well equipped kitchens, and while it’s not in the least bit luxurious, it’s very nice. "Menu was very eclectic with a wide veriety offerings. The dive shop and staff as well as dive guilds and dive masters where very knowledgeable and experienced. The A/C was very adequate for comfort. This has been a wonderful experinces for me wife and me. We will surly recommend to others."

"We stayed here for 4 nights and unfortunately had several issues that significantly affected our experience.
The biggest problem was the extremely loud noise starting at 6:00 AM every morning from a gym located directly behind the building. The music and activity were loud enough to wake us up daily, which made it very difficult to rest during our stay.

"The hotel was just alright, the other Sun Breeze hotel just south on the beach looked a lot better and had a really good restaurant.
We purchased the ocean front suite but got a room with a bunch of palm trees and a view of the neighboring hotel’s room, so I recommended just booking the standard room instead if you really want to stay here.

"I came to celebrate my birthday & had such a pleasant experience. All of the staff were extremely nice and accommodating. The room was clean and had everything I needed (water, microwave, fridge). The location is also walking distance from a lot of bars & restaurants. It wasn’t loud or crowded near the hotel which is a plus. I’m definitely coming back!"
