The room we were assigned looked significantly different from the online images and appeared to be in poor condition. "The beds were comfortable. The full size refrigerator was very nice. It needed another chair to sit on. There was only 1 bar of soap so we had to buy something for the shower. Also has to but dish washing soap to clean the dishes that were provided. The dishes were a nice touch but if you plan on using the cooking area you have to bring your own pot/pan/utensils. It would be nice to know ahead of time. Also, though it says they provide a hair dryer, you have to ask for one at the front...

"Down side:Poorly maintained landscaping, broken window screens, chipping paint everywhere outside, litter in the parking lot, filmy windows, wrinkled carpets, restaurant closed permanently, staff helpful, but curt. Pool was dead center of the building, where swimmers would be on display by all-not relaxing. Upside: clean room, comfortable bed, adequate and clean shower."

"Elevator across the hall, not real close but every use was loud, vibrated out room & sounded like someone using the microwave ALL night long. Towels rough, plastic cups too thin to hold, breakfast missing or low on several things. Very rough night’s stay."

"The staff was awesome,like always. I had a very pleasant stay. I was renting a room that had a stench of smoke, i quickly notified the staff and take care of it immediately."

"The room had other people’s hair on the desk, in the shower and on the entrance floor. I just have the feeling that the rooms are not vacuumed or cleaned well between visitors and I find that to be disgusting. Also I could hear everything the guy next door was doing. Pretty sad for the amount of money we pay for a room."

"If you are looking to not perhaps pay as much for The Lodge, this absolutely should be on your radar. The team, rooms, location, breakfast, all the things hit the mark. While I think the remotes likely need to be replaced (as we got the batteries replaced on day 2), due to many thumbs aggressively finding the right channel, that’s still not dropping the 5 STAR rating. We will be back and also for the location, both for walkable options and also a nice river walk, can’t go wrong."
