"The hotel is a bit old. It's great if you're looking to stay in a property with a historical aspect. Check-in was troubling. I don't recall on the Hotel's description here on Expedia or on their own website that the deposit was $400 up front. I stayed for 6 days so that should have been around $170. "It is an experience staying at this hotel. Great staff. Bathrooms could use some update. Really nice pool and gorgeous grounds, but charging a mandatory resort fee because they offer a gym, and a pool? Not really welcoming. No hot water offered in the room for tea. Only a "Keurig" type coffee machine. "

"We were only there for one night. I rented two rooms as I was traveling with family. The hotel was very clean, quiet and modernized with keeping the historic charm. The bartender in the lounge area was very slow and ignored several people, but we talked to the hotel manager and he was very responsive and friendly and helped us to get our bill paid. It would have been nice to be put next to our family although I didn’t mention it when booking, assuming they would. I would recommend this hotel...

"The highlight of this place for us was the location - a very easy 5 minute walk to old town, and also Macy’s in the other direction. The room size is fine and as expected. There was a fridge and microwave which was a bonus we were not expecting. The air con worked well. Shower temperature and pressure were good. On the down side, the bathroom had a strong urine smell but since you couldn’t smell it in the main room, we didn’t bother reporting it as we had already made ourselves comfortable....
