"The food was amazing. Wendy was amazing, she helped me and my family( a group of 4 kids women) get whatever we needed. The other staff were nice as well. Mr. B, Kenneth, Danni, Will, Alonzo, Wendy etc! They were so nice and helpful. The only thing is that they are renovating the other property so stuff was shut down. Couldn’t go ATV riding, but we found one off the property. The town of Samara was nice too. Nice locals."

"Fabulous property and location. Staff were awesome, especially Francisco. Lots of restaurants and bars close by, if you want to try something outside the resort. Very safe and quiet area. A couple of things, one the roads are not all paved and the dirt ones are very rough. Two, great for families, but a few too many kids during our stay. Next time, we probably go adults only."

"The ocean views were amazing! The breakfast was consistently delicious. The staff was always helpful and very friendly. We had a small issue with our room (no fault of the hotel) and the manager quickly offered us an upgrade to a beautiful suite. There is access via a walking path to two separate beaches, and many dining options nearby (Guiones is a short 15 minute walk down the beach for more options). However, There are two locations for this hotel. one is near the main road - that is where the pool is and it is a small pool so we didn't end up using it. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the beach area which was as advertised. Excellent breakfast included. Staff were great. It is a small town so easy access to everything."

"The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars!
