The hotel is quite far from any other hotels or sights - Sigiriya is about 40 mins - so there’s no walking to eat anywhere else but you could get a tuktuk."

"The guesthouse is a basic one. Our room was equipped with a fan and a air-conditioner. There were some ants in the bathroom, but we could not find any of them in the room. Free soft drinks were provided. It seems that the guesthouse owner also owns a car renting company which can provide day-tour services for the guests, so once we had arrived at the guesthouse, the owner started to explain the tours for us. "It's the grounds that made me fall in love with this place. Intimate & beautiful but big enough that you can stretch out your legs by strolling through well cared for gardens. Lots of flowers. A small bubbling river wraps around the property & there is this perfect spot along the river where you can sit on a bench and take in the sounds of the forest and the view of mountains in the distance. Pure bliss! The hotel itself is close to the main highway, but tucked just far enough back from the road...
