"We had a lovely stay at Horsley Lodge! The food was absolutely excellent, beautifully presented and full of flavour, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. The views from the property were truly stunning and made for such a relaxing atmosphere.
The room itself was clean and comfortable, though the bedding and air in the room had a slightly closed-up scent, as if they hadn’t been aired for a while. It wasn’t a major issue, just something we noticed.

"Excellent bed an breakfast in the Peak District run by friendly hosts. The room was impeccably clean and of a good size, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and recently renovated. It is above the pub, which we also liked because it was possible to get dinner there - good 'pub grub' fayre. They also serve an excellent traditional English breakfast. Very happy to recommend this property to others."

"From the moment we arrived till we said goodbye the staff were accommodating, personable and demonstrated efforts to ensure we felt comfortable and well served. "A heritage hotel with interesting history as a bank and courthouse, amazing staircase and overlooked by the cathedral, walk to restaurants in city centre. Quiet location but limited metered on street parking. Cosy rooms, comfortable and good quality beds. Cooked breakfast but would have liked to see fresh juices and fruit as healthy alternatives. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Would definitely stay again."
