"The location is good and stunning views. the rooms are not kept well and bathrooms were moldy tile. Not good housekeeping."

"Let's start with the good - the hotel has been restored to a decent level. The furnishings are nice and the rooms are lovely. They should be lovely because this hotel is supposed to be five star and they are charging well above the standard rate. Unfortunately this is where the good ends...the staff are not well trained and not attentive to hotel guests. When we arrived reception, staff were engaged in a private conversation before attending to guests. Soon after we arrived there was a long...

"Excellent location, Car parking available at £5 per night. All staff were very helpful and a well stocked bar."

"Comfortable bed, clean room, close to train station. Stayed 3 nights. The first night we were given room 206 which was right above busy London Street. It was very noisy. When we first arrived a maintenance man showed up to check the shower saying there were complaints about a loud noise. He did not find anything. In the morning when we turned the shower on, the pressure was high and it made a horrendous noise. No amount of adjustment would fix it. Had to shower with the noise. It was clear to me...

"Fantastic hotel! Easy walk from the train station, and to other things that you would need to get to like eating and the university. Lovely lobby, they had a workout room which I didn't use but that's a nice extra, and the room itself is very nice. I would definitely stay again"

"Ideally located for an event at the foundry. Room was spacious and what we needed for a one night stay"

"Had a slow drain on the shower, due to the way the shower isn’t a tray this meant water flooded the rest of the bathroom. Reported to be reception and this wasn’t fixed. Had to use a towel wedged against the shower door and then turn the water down. Asked for more milk sachets (two for a family room with 4 isn’t enough) at reception and got directed to the bar, had a huge wait whilst they faffed around serving just one person - god help anyone if ordering a round then! A bit unclear at...

"Nice hotel in a great location. Not too far away to walk into the city, and bus stops nearby as well if you dont feel like walking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was nice enough, only gripe was the air con wasnt great, so room was quite warm at times."

"Room was to small for 3 people. Breakfast was terrible"

"Room and bathroom was clean and staff were extremely helpful. I particularly like the bar area on the ground floor"

"Always great"

"Alles entspannt und super Zimmer für Rollstuhlfahrer."

"Great atmosphere and excellent and clean room. Beds only double but adequate. Good breakfast and relaxed environment. Bar staff specially Coco was most cortiouse and polite bar tender ever with exceptional knowledge. Only issue we had was had confusing information or lack of it before checking."

"Confusing name, but a decent hotel. Efficient use of room space. Excellent breakfast."
