You do have to pay extra at the hotel when using the spa facilities if your booking is through Expedia. This is £40 per day, which is not made obvious at all. Parking is on the street, of £30 per day at the hotel. But street parking along the Crescent is free. "

"We stayed for three nights. There was absolutely no service, no cleaning at all, and remnants of the previous guest’s trash were still in the room. My body broke out in severe hives from the very first night, which gradually worsened. Considering the price we paid, the service was extremely poor."

"Positives - beautiful hotel in great grounds. Had tea in the restaurant which was very good. Bed was huge. Negatives - couldn't get bath to work and my wife was kept awake during the night by noise in room next door. Use of the spa was £20 per person (which I was willing to pay) but was then told we couldn't use it until 5pm. We'd arrived at 3pm with plan to go in spa before our friends arrived later. "

"Breakfast was ok but poor quality ingredients. We had a terrible dining experience. Starter ok - We waited one hour for our mains. My salmon served on a bed of rice was so dried out it was inedible. Looked like it had been left under the heat lamp for ages. Crispy and very dry. You could lift the whole dish up in one go - horrible. My partners cod loin wasnt any better and his veg was actually black and burnt. Amazed they actually served it to us. Four of the desert items were off the menu and...

"Our suite was large and clean, and had we been staying for more than 1 night, the fridge and dining room table & chairs would have been well used and much appreciated. We arrived when it was dark and, unfortunately, the grounds were poorly lit so it took a while to locate our suite number using our mobile phone torches. "I do not recommend this hotel. It is understaffed and unprepared for busy periods. Breakfast is poorly stocked with frequent waiting, towels “run out” during the day (??). One morning both Nespresso machines were “not working” and the only coffee was instant for breakfast. The gym and pool/sauna/steam room are good, but aside from this then it needs a lot of work."

"Lovely room, clean, tidy and well decorated the only problem was the towel rail was not connected therefore unable to dry towels. Would have liked an information booket/leaflet in room to show menu and snacks available."

I had a small room that was actually a good size (typical cheap London size). It was tired and scruffy and the noise from the adjoining room and outside was a distraction. "
