"The room was wonderful and the property is stunning. Unfortunately our room was right next to the air condensers and kept waking us up. It was not a restful night. There were also not people available to help us with our bags when we arrived."

"The complex is not maintained in the slightest. The building is quite old. You can tell it has not been upgraded in a LONG time. The stairs to get to the second floor are a safety hazard and must have work done to them along with the rest of the building. The rooms smell old and musty. I had to go to Walgreens to buy air fresheners. This building has to be shut down until proper safety measures are taken. Do not trust the pictures you see. That is my warning to you."

"I can think of nothing to dislike about this extraordinary property. Beautiful, manicured lawns and gardens offering beautiful vistas and pathways. The main lodge and rooms are so beautifully decorated and the atrium and dining room are spectacular as is the food. Enjoyed sitting at the bar with a nice glass of wine and chatting with the knowledgeable, nice, young bartender. Staff is friendly and helpful all leading the visitor to a special experience."

"The only positive attribute of the place was it's proximity to Middleburg. The house was very dirty and disarray. The kitchen, which was open to guests, had dirty dishes and pots and pans in the sink the whole time. The kitchen counter was loaded with stuff. The front room, where checkin took place was a mess -- the desk area for the attendant had clothes on the floor and various items on the floor. The swimming pool had algae across the bottom -- it had not been vacuumed forever and you...

"The property grounds are absolutely beautiful with multiple cottages, gardens, lakes, and outside seating areas by the water. Harry's Restaurant on site has great food and a lovely outdoor seating area where you can watch the ducks, geese and white swans float by. Unfortunately, the lodging in the main two-story building is nothing special and does not match the exquisite property. We had just a one-night stay so didn't get to use the amenities and activities."

"The girl at the desk when I checked in was great but the guy when I checked out acted like I was bothering him. The room wasn’t very clean to the point where I had my shoes on the whole time. I used wipes to clean the bathroom down before I used it and I needed a lot and they were very gross when I put them in the trash. Towels smelled like they used way too much bleach to clean them."

"The house was very clean with cute decor. Was in a quiet neighborhood which was very nice. Close to shopping, restaurants and Shenandoah NP. Would stay there again!!"
