"The bed and pillows were very comfortable, although bed unnecessarily wide for a small room! It was nice to have 2 large openable windows on different walls so there was good ventilation. Seating in sun lounge and bar looks smart but they badly need cushions for some lumbar support . Open fire in Bar a nice touch"

"Lovely fully independent chalet. Felt like being a kid again with the old fashioned swing in the garden. Kind older couple run the place and have DVD's to borrow at the reception room. Fresh milk provided. Will probably come back to this place one day."

"Larchwood Motel is well located. However it is severely lacking in up-keep and maintenance. Upon entering the unit it was smelly - stale alcohol/smoke. We opened up the room (it was freezing) for 15 minutes or so to air it out. The curtains are shabby and ill fitting on some windows. The bathroom was adequate but again shabby, a soiled towel had been left on the hook from a previous stay. The one positive is that the bedding/beds were clean and crisp.
