"Drove around with our taxi driver for 20 minutes trying to find the place. It wasn't where Google said it would be, and no one in Otavalo had any idea what it was. Finally found it, and the front desk said we didn't have a reservation. We showed him printed proof that we did, so he took us to a room and gave us towels and toilet paper. No key, and no wifi password. Two windows in the room were left ajar and they let in cold air. We promptly walked down the street and found a better hotel."

Settle in by the fireplace in your room, wander through the gardens, hike to a magnificent waterfall, take a horse ride through the Ecuadorian range!
