The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. "We stayed in the Mercantile and you can't beat the location for Nauvoo. The staff were great. We only took advantage of breakfast one day but it was very good. I would stay there again in future trips to Nauvoo."

"The property was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were impressed. It is a little Out of town so you cannot walk to shops or restaurants but it is only a 5 minute drive to restaurants and shops in Nauvoo."

"Everything electronic, except for the refrigerator was unplugged. The bedside lamp was broken. There was soap residue on the shower drain. There was no type of soap products in the bathroom or shower. The mirror was covered with hand prints. Had to have maintenance to turn the heat on.I spent the night there simply because I had driven 600 miles. I would not stayed there if my wife was with me. At least I didn’t see anything crawling. Check in and out process is atrocious."
