"Friendly, helpful staff and lovely hotel in a good location. We received a family room which was good with separate bunk beds, making it more spacious than having a sofa bed. The beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Lots of selection, fresh and tasty and they kept replenishing it. The only drawback was it was quite stuffy in the room and leaving the window open meant early morning noise from the business below. "Hotel Sonne is a comfortable hotel right in the center of Lienz, a quick walk from the train and bus stations. The interior of the building itself is definitely dated and a bit austere, but that really didn’t impact my stay. My room was comfortable and had a fantastic view of the mountains. The breakfast options were great, and I appreciated that breakfast itself started at 6:00 (I’m an early riser). The staff were friendly and accommodating. "This was a wonderful option for overnight staying while visiting the touristic areas in the Dolomites, such as Lake Misurina and Cortina d'Ampezzo. The price was good, and we had a full kitchen, a living room and a bedroom, plus an oversized balcony. Not to mention the friendly host, that was so helpful with instructions even before we got there. The village / area is just wonderful, a little paradise to be explored on foot."
