Two sisters run this hotel and they are wonderfully kind and involved in making any stay here exceptional. The service is second to none. The breakfast is spectacular, with locally sourced farm to table products. They have a huge assortment of great tea and desserts available to guests. We didn’t hit the spa, as we stayed here during our time hiking in the Dolomites. It was a bit further out from some of the hotels nearer the hikes but it is absolutely worth it to be in such a beautiful place with such incredible hospitality.

A lovely and relaxing hotel

A lovely country hotel with excellent service and comfort. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The hotel is decorated with art and artifacts from its long history, has a library and garden areas to walk or relax in. Dinner was a pleasant surprise as it’s a gourmet coursed meal (might not be a good fit for picky eaters). Breakfast was lovely with great variety. I was meant to stay one night but because of the comfort and food, I decided to stay another night to relax and enjoy the amenities. My one knock would be that you can hear road noise, but the benefits outweigh that. I will gladly visit again.

Found this place through Expedia and was so happy I did! It was perfect. Location was great close to the area of the Dolomites that I wanted to explore. The actual hotel was lovely. The staff was amazing, food was great, the room was very modern and clean. The saunas/spa was also quite enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place and was very happy with it!

This is an absolutely exceptional hotel - starting with a very personal check-in by one of the owners to a fantastic room (we had a junior suite with in-room bathtub and mountain view) to the culinary highlights of the Gault Millau recommended cuisine. All of this in a cozy ambiance that combines Tyrolean hospitality with modern amenities. Having traveled in many countries over the years with numerous hotels - Strasserwirt really stands out. Congratulations to the team!

Schönes Hotel aber massiv überteuert

Schönes Hotel, aber leider etwas entlegen. Sehr nettes Personal an der Rezeption. Hervorragendes Frühstück. Leider kann man nur ein ganzes Menü zu horrenden Preisen buchen. Wenn man nicht isst, wird man vom Kellner ignoriert. Habe mir die Getränke selbst bei der netten Dame an der Rezeption geholt.

Das Haus ist für mich ein sehr gut gelungenes Beispiel wie man Tradition mit Moderne in Verbindung bringen kann. Ich fühle mich in diesem Ambiente von der ersten Minute an wohl, die Verpflegung ist ausgezeichnet, das Personal sehr freundlich und die Umgebung, vor allem das Villgratental, ist für naturbegeisterte, sportliche Leute einfach ein Traum.
