"It was a nice modern hotel with friendly reception staff. We were upgraded from a studio to a two bed apartment which was very nice except the bathroom little worn out. Only stay here if you have a hired car. There are no shops and only one restaurant within walking distance although a bus stops about 200yds up the road, It takes 45mins to Funchal.
