"This was a special stay, not for the quality of the accommodation but because of it's location and history. Room was fairly basic but a view to die for, just spectacular. Mt St Michel is magnificent, at night it becomes magical. The abbey lit up at night was amazing. La mere Poulard was ok, friendly reception and good sized, old fashioned room with important fridge, bottled water and fan (essential for the summer). Breakfast was good, eggs, bacon, charcuterie, fresh pastries and breads and...

"Staying on Mont st Michel was a wonderful experience. The room I stayed in while small, was still charming and offered a fantastic view over the ramparts. Do note, the entire building is tiny, with tight staircases and no possibility of an elevator getting installed. Par for the course for anything many centuries old."
