Breakfast buffet was ok, not worth $35 per head. Would be great if they kept up with the demand as we had to keep going to check if they had refilled some items. Ie: no eggs. Other than that we’re happy with our stay."

The staff always greeted us with a smile. The hotel was a fantastic base for our exploration of the Ballarat region. We will recommend this hotel to others considering staying in Ballarat."

"Reception guy was friendly and the pool was heated. They were the only things that were ok. We stayed for 2 nights with 3 kids. Do not recommend. Room was so old and foul. Pillows and beds are super old and uncomfortable. The photos make it look way nicer than it is. Everything is so run down. It needs some serious love and care."

It was made even more pleasant by receiving an unexpected upgrade to which we were very grateful and appreciated. "Air con control needed batteries, no soap in bath container. Little bit dated inside but serviceable. Road hump was way too high and cars scrapping underneath as they drove over it. Tried to book dinner and drinks to room but had to pay on purchase which was a little weird."
