"It was okay because we were only staying for one night. Loved the easy access to the beach! Room was very outdated as was the entire hotel. Would not have stayed here if it weren’t for the less expensive price compared to other places on Amelia Island and the closeness to the beach. Best part was that our room had a partial ocean view and a “balcony” so in the morning we were able to see a beautiful sunrise!!"

"The Florida House Inn has quite the historic charm. If you are looking for modern amenities other than air conditioning and indoor plumbing, this is probably not the place for you. If you want a nice quiet getaway with some very rich (over 150 years) history, then this is the place. The Green Turtle Tavern, right next door, has live music on weekends so it is a little loud until 11pm Fri/Sat and 10pm Sun. If that’s not on your getaway punch card, again maybe not for you. We had a fun time...

"The first room we were assigned to had a very noisy AC unit. They quickly provided a different room for us. We appreciated that! The hot continental breakfast was typically scrambled eggs or the pre-made omelets, sausage, waffle maker, oatmeal, etc."
