"We arrived in Bologna by train for a 2-night stay and the Starhotels Excelsior was a great place to land. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station and within a 20 minute walk to the center of town, which made it ideal for our needs. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient, and the room was spacious - you could walk around without tripping over suitcases - with a comfortable bed. Also, it was very quiet inside the room - any noise from the street below did not...

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially the front desk attendant who also gave us excellent dining recommendations. Location is conveniently located within a short distance from Metro station and direct walk to some of the best restaurants and historic piazza."

"The hotel rooms are not nice or cosy. The bed is very high, no bedside tables and you can’t reach the light from the bed. It is very industrial. The bathroom is nice. A bit outside Bologna (10 min’s walk to the front of the station). Lots of noise at 3.40 am, young people coming back but the security guy didn’t care. Perhaps a good place if you are young and used to hostels."

"Super geräumiges Zimmer, tolles Bad. Einziges Manko sind Flugzeuge im Anflug auf Bologna was recht laut ist."

"Seems like recently refurbished. Is clean inside."

"我們這次住了四天，房間每天都有整理乾淨，浴室也整理非常乾淨。唯一的缺點是地板沒有用拖把擦乾淨。"

"Super friendly hotel, very helpful at all times. Rooms very functional great bathrooms, lots of seating). We had 5 nights & would come back again."

"We loved our staff, the lady at reception was super friendly and helpful, I was worried it wouldn’t look like the photos but it was exactly like the pictures if not better, we really liked the area and would 100% recommend Almarosa to anyone looking for great accommodation at a great price."

"This hotel is perfect for a solo traveler. The breakfast is excellent, high quality. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you need. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. The area is close to the Piazza Maggiore which is a very busy hub but the hotel itself is very quiet. The area was very safe and an easy walk to/from the train station"

"I booked a private room, which was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Using your phone to access the room can be a little tricky if you’re travelling without cellular service or data, but the staff will also provide you with a code that can be used to enter your room, as well as access the front door and elevator after hours. There are secure lockers available to rent, along with laundry facilities for an additional charge. I didn’t take advantage of the breakfast option, but it looked quite...

"It's a beautiful apartment however the knob in the bathroom needs repair. It keeps falling off."

"The staff were fantastic and really looked after us. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I highly recommend this great hotel"
