"Had a great stay... only down side being we were only there for 2 nights Lovely hotel, with very friendly staff. Rooms great and well appointed.Great setting and relaxing after or before safari. Only bit of advice is dont go too late for breakfast or buffet evening meal, as its all been hoovered up. Would recommend and if we find ourself in same area again, will re book. "

"Fabulous eco-retreat in the rural wilderness of Sri Lanka. Loved the feel and vibe of this resort. Everyone was super friendly and we came away very relaxed after a two night stay. Unlike anywhere wise we visited on our two week trip. Recommended "

"We spoilt ourselves with 2 nights in Ahas Pokuna. This is a truly special place. Greeted at the road side by Arun our naturalist guide we were immediately enveloped in the forest following a footpath (truly the only access) leading us up the the very exclusive camp. We were the only guest and had the middle of three tent suites/tree houses. The beautifully maintained grounds of the camp are full of birds and the staff are always attentive. The food is excellent and plentiful. Arun was delightful...

"A beautiful property nestled in the jungle. The views were amazing and the sounds of the rushing river were super relaxing. The rooms were big and airy. There is no air conditioning but some ceiling fans that do the job perfectly (we were never too hot at night) - the pool with the river view in room 10 was spectacular. "We stayed for one night for the Safari. The property is well maintained, clean and it is as described. The owner is very responsive, offer good service. We enjoyed the breakfast included in the reservation after the Safari. I would definitely recommend this place. "

However due to poor administrational errors, the resort didn’t have the correct details of our booking which we had paid for in full. "Agthira river camp was excellent. The staff were all friendly and the room was so nice. Looking onto the river was very relaxing and hours were spent watching the monkeys. The buffet in the morning and evening was great. The safari was booked via the hotel and was a great experience."

"In 2006 eveneens dit hotel bezocht. Het is geen haar beter geworden. De staat van het hotel is nog voor géén "meter" verbeterd. Het personeel is brutaal en arrogant, waarvoor overigens gezien de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding geen enkele reden is. Het bedienend personeel beloofd en zegt dingen toe, die ze absoluut niet nakomen. Vertellen onwaarheden. DE kamers zijn vies. Gordijnen zog net zo vies als in 2006. Sluiten slecht. Airco maakt ontzettend veel lawaai. Douche heeft een vies ligbad met...

"Backyard Balangoda provides a great Sri Lankan experience, complete with a very friendly dog named Bruno! The incredibly kind owner made sure we had a wonderful stay, sharing interesting information about local life and tasty food. Breakfast, made with local ingredients, was wonderful, especially the tea from his garden and his own roasted coffee. "Amazing grounds"

"The property is ideal for the Udawalawe park safari. The host and the staff are really friendly are really friendly and polite. The food is amazing,fresh made every day. It can be done without having much spices,if you are not a fan of spices. You are in a corner of paradise with a lot of fauna. We have absolute loved it. The only small downside was the shower that didn't have hot water and water pressure was weak."

"Es war einfach phantastisch, äusserst gepflegte Anlage mit grossem Garten, vielen Palmen und Bäume mit grossem infinity Pool. Das Haus ist ein Schmuckstück der Extraklasse, der Service zuvorkommend und freundlich und das Essen gut. Die Kommunikation auf englisch hat nicht immer geklappt aber der Wille war immer da und die Hilfsbereitschaft. Ich hoffe ich kann wiederkommen"
