"We stayed in Room 3, if the other rooms were as great as ours then it would be hard to beat this location. The view of the river and sunset were awesome. The restaurant service would be hard to beat anywhere and the food was excellent. All in all we loved our stay at Surry Seafood Inn."

"This was a great stay for the price. Our 2 br unit had some raggedy moments, but it's obviously an old property. The first thing we saw upon entry was a huge burn in the carpet (might wanna touch that up). The couches looked like somebody's grandma died on them. On the other hand, the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms clean and stocked. The pool and amenities were great for kids. Overall a good stay. We'd book again."

"This is a resort where big tour buses bring large groups of people. A lot of young people to senior citizens are accommodated. They have more than the advertised continental breakfast. They have a large pool. It is in walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg. Our room was large and comfortable. It was quiet and secure. Parking was a little challenging in the evenings if you have walking issues but there was plenty. I would stay there again."

"The property was well maintained, especially the grounds. Everything was very clean. I was impressed with the security. The towels provided were skimpy, and no hand towels. The wifi worked great. The balcony was lovely. The price was amazing for what we got."

"I stayed for one night with my emotional support dog and was charged $150 extra. Why advertise pet friendly. I have never paid that fee for one night. Most places waived any fees esp for a service dog for any disability."

"Rooms need upgrading. No toiletries in bathroom. Dirty wash cloth in bathroom. AC unit sounded like a jet ready for take off. Exposed pipes under sink and bathroom. TV very small in living area and it still has a dvd player. Didn’t know they still make those. On a positive note. Staff was polite and courteous. The hotel is very quite, peaceful and overall very clean."

"Pool was green for the two nights we were there. Other patrons noticed it too and refused to use it. The gym was the size of a large closet. The breakfast was lacking. If you're planning to stay here, I would check on condition of the pool if you're wanting to use it. Seems like they need more help, one man was taking care of the front desk, taking care of the breakfast area, and emptying the garbage cans.
