It is fairly easy to get into Tangalle itself from this property, though you will likely need to organize transportation because walking down the main road to get into town is a bit harrowing (a tuk tuk will be $1-2 USD each way). "Disclaimer: Not sure if this was the fault of Hotels.com or the hotel itself, or a combination of the two. Arrived at this hotel via car only to find that it was completely closed for renovations. I had made a non-refundable reservation to stay almost 2 months prior, yet received absolutely no notice from either the hotel or Hotels.com that the hotel was closed. "Fantastic location, but disappointing in so many other ways. First of all there was no booking when we arrived and when it was eventually sorted it was made clear the management thought we had not paid enough through the booking agent we had used. We stayed for 7 nights and the room was never cleaned, not even once. There was a regular smell of sewage from the bathroom and the room was very tired. "We really enjoyed our stay in the lagoon paradise resort and even decided to stay one day longer than initially planned. You can enjoy the breakfast (as well as dinner) in the nice beach restaurant with a great view. We booked a cabana which was located near the swimming pool.
