"A great hotel in Taos area. Nicely groomed property, rooms with balcony, clean, friendly staff. Greater with homemade cookies. Breakfast buffet was so good - lots of variety and New Mexican fare included tamales, burritos, pintos, chili. We will definitely stay here again!"

"Mike and his family have turned this long-standing motel into a 5-star hotel. The upgrades to the room are amazing. The rest of Red River, NM is going to have to step up to beat this place!! It is conveniently located across from the Brewery and Der Markt. Pizza is next door. I can highly recommend."

"We never saw the managers. We arrived late and they had said for us to come by the next morning but no one showed. So we left about 9:30"

"Room was clean and comfortable. AC/heat great. Bathroom updated and nice. Owners very responsive. All done through phone call and text. Easy and flexible checkin and out, no waiting in line at a desk and meeting office hours. Cafe is quaint and provides great coffee. Can order meals ahead to be served. Only had time for morning coffee but it was hot, ready as advertised and delicious. Grounds safe and beautiful."

"My husband and I have stayed at the Alpine Lodge a few times now, and that’s because we always have a very nice stay. The staff is very kind and helpful, the rooms are not the newest, but that doesn’t usually impress me anyway. They are clean, and that’s important to me! I will definitely continue to bring my family to this lodge. "

"We stayed in a room in back with an amazing view of the water. They have a beautiful deck closer amd plenty of BBQ's. My only complaint is that people were talking loudly outside pretty late, but ill let them have it, since its an environment that really fosters conversation between strangers "
