"We received the warmest of welcomes from Jim, the proprietor. He was so lovely, funny and kind. Although the Shenandoah is a period house, it is right up to date, the decor and furniture looked new. "Very good value and the breakfast is a bargain. Visiting in a heatwave, it perhaps wasn't ideal to be in one of the south facing bay window rooms with a sea view as it got quite hot, but any other time of year would be fine. The shower was a little on the small side but worked fine."

"Sehr guter Stopp etwas außerhalb von Margate. Anmeldung im Pub. Die Zimmer sind über dem Pub, aber ab 22 Uhr war alles ruhig. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit zwei Betten. Die Dusche war hervorragend, und die Handtücher waren auch klasse. Alles pieksauber. Der Pub macht mittwochs bis samstags Abendessen. Dienstag ist Bingoabend. Das (kostenlose) Internet war ultraschnell. Margate hat viel mehr zu bieten als ich erwartet hätte. Ich komme wieder. "

"I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend the Twentieth Century B&B. I stayed at the David Bowie room. Everything was an original item from the 70s, including the bed, coat hanger, chair, etc. The room was lovely decorated with the theme, and the best thing was the bathroom. The bathtub was oh.so.perfect! And they even provide you with a bath bomb if you request 💗 The area was very quiet and I slept really well. The B&B was within walking distance of the beach. "This is a gem of a place. So,cosy,quiet even though in the old town. So tastefully decorated inside and the patio areas. Lovely teas to sample in the room. Paul was helpful and charming when I finnaly found him! Fabulous stay"
