No iron or blow dryer in room- they had an iron available for us in office. Small area, but worked. Did not have time to do beach- we were at Copperstown all day for grandson. "There were no amenities . I didn't bring my hair dryer or iron my clothes. Because most places have these. No microwaves or mini fridge . Coffee maker in lounge area . Tiny bottle of shampoo and bar of soap . Place is very dated not very clean and overpriced for what you get . But the lady at front desk was very friendly and took us right to our room . This place could be a beautiful hotel if the right people up kept it . It's resting on its laurels . I wouldn't return ."

"Beautiful location. Rooms are somewhat outdated and the a/c is VERY loud. The lake is gorgeous and makes up for a lot. Everyone was very efficient."

"Finding a pet-friendly place is always difficult. Sprinkle in a single night’s stay on a holiday weekend near Cooperstown into the mix and it becomes impossible. HOWEVER…at KC’s…we stayed in a brand new room which was entirely spotless on a bed that gave us the best night of sleep in memory! The property is still under some construction, but the value here is really, really great!"

"The Grand Colonial is a great choice for a temporary home in the Herkimer area. So rich in American Revolutionary history, the old mansion is an historic relic that is kept up-to-date by its current owners. Mike was our host, and he couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We give it our highest recommendation."
