"A friend and I stayed at the blue Nile resort hotel, which has a stunning setting and views on the waters edge of lake Tana. It was a perfect spot to start our tour of lake Tana and Islands. The staff were helpful and it the buffet breakfast had a good selection. However the twin room was very small which had not been apparent in the photos online as I had thought it was a twin room with double beds not singles and there was no hot water."

We asked for soft mattress but they didn't have one. Instead they gave us a room with King size bed. But we needed two beds and asked for an extra bed. "Disappointing that there was no wi-fi, it was loud (loud shop directly across from the hotel), and the room security seemed questionable. It had a great low price so a good place if you need a cheap place to stay with a great location - but not a place I would go to rest and get work done. "
