"The room was clean & conveniently located by the first floor exit door. The continental breakfast was ok. I had trouble figuring out how to adjust the thermostat & the room was warm during the night. Also, there was a charge added to our card that we didn't understand. The manager tried to explain it but said it would be taken off when we checked out. That effected our financial decisions during our stay. Otherwise everything was good."

"Great hotel! Perfect for our visit to Gettysburg. The pool and hot tub were great, and the breakfast was hot and delicious. The ladies attending the breakfast were very attentive and helpful. They even offered to carry a plate to our table because they could see our hands were full. Lovely place and even lovelier people."

"My wife and I stayed for a night to attend a wedding. The room and the property were very nice. Everything was clean and well maintained. I was worried that the 3 pm check-in would make us late to the ceremony, but the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Check-in took less than 5 minutes! The lobby had decent coffee even in the afternoon. I’ll definitely stay here again when in town."

"Honestly, we did have a problem with the shower in the room. I called the front desk, the response was immediate, the gentleman that came to the room was so friendly, fun and earnestly wanted to please us as guests. He was so helpful and accommodating, it was very impressive. The person who checked us in earlier was very kind, he also went out of his way to help me without my asking for help. So the two employees that we encountered were exemplary. I highly recommend this hotel."

"We stayed at Visitation during our son and DIL marriage in the Frederick courthouse- afterwards we reserved dinner at Wye Oak Tavern. The environment, presentation and superior taste of food made for a memorable evening. They treated us with a glass of complimentary champagne to celebrate our night and we never felt rushed to leave that evening. It was a special night and our stay at hotel was superb - rooms were immaculate and comfortable- hotel grounds were lovely to relax."
