"We had a really enjoyable stay at the Grand Hotel and would definitely return. Our room was exceptionally clean and clearly very well prepared—Kannika had done a fantastic job getting everything ready for our arrival. The room itself looked recently refurbished, with a fresh and modern feel that made it very comfortable. Despite being in the city centre, which can be quite noisy at night, we slept incredibly well. The windows did a great job of blocking out the outside noise, and we had two wonderfully restful nights with no disturbance from other guests either. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the service made it even better. The lady who served us, I believe her name was Anya, was delightful—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant, which made the experience even more enjoyable. There was a small inconvenience during our stay as the main lift wasn’t working, meaning we had to use the back lift. However, the reception team handled this very kindly by waiving the parking fee, which we really appreciated. It’s clear that the hotel is in the process of being updated. The main entrance and restaurant have been refurbished to a very high standard, while some areas like the corridors and staircases are still undergoing improvements. That said, this didn’t impact our stay at all, especially given how comfortable and well-finished our room was. Overall, a very positive experience—we would happily stay here again"

"Great hotel, good check in, 2x free drinks, clean room and bathroom. Popped into the city in the morning for coffee, nowhere was open at 6:45 so popped to the bar and they kindly made me an amazing cappuccino. Lots of loud supercars running around outside the hotel but we didn't hear them in the end."

"This was my second stay at this beautiful hotel, which has lots of charm. The location is so peaceful, and listening to the dawn chorus in the morning, after a great sleep in a very comfy bed, was a pleasure. Plenty of tea/coffee etc. in the room, although no fridge. The spa was spotlessly clean and the facilities really good for a quick session in the evening - a nice extra treat to enjoy the stay. I do have quite a critical eye though, and there are things that could be a little better. The room was lovely but the paintwork was knocked in places and needed touching up, and marks on the wall where a previous guest must have spilled a drink needed cleaning. The shower leaked despite the glass door. There were some damp patches in the bathroom. There’s just a little feeling the hotel isn’t as loved/cared for as it could be, and a little TLC would elevate the experience. Not much effort would make it excellent, instead of good. All that said, for the price I paid it’s really worth it for a quiet getaway, and I will stay again! "

"This is the second time we've stayed here - always a lovely, relaxing stay - nice atmosphere in the bar/lounge area. Very welcoming to dogs if you wish to bring your pet. We were blessed with bright blue skies & sunshine and there was plenty of outside seating. Great choice of breakfast too at reasonable price £15.50. Thoroughly recommend "
