"Jo and Gary are wonderful hosts, their cottage a home away from home. A very peaceful spot, only minutes from the centre of Franschhoek by foot, and parking is provided. The cottage is beautiful, spacious, cosy (we were there in winter) and an easy space to live in. We've stayed in lots of the lovely cottages and guest houses on offer in Franschhoek, and Jonquil Cottage is of the highest standard, the warmest of welcomes and somewhere we will definitely be returning to. "We had booked this property as a stayover for my mum who was needing to be at the hospital nearby early the next morning. The day of booking the property the owner called after 9pm to enquire where the payment was to which we explained it was purchased on hotels.com AND that the trip was for my SICK mother. After struggling to find someone to assist us on arrival we we where taken to our cottage. The cottage had an overpowering smell of room spray that burnt your eyes. it was very clear that...
