"Friendly staff and spacious rooms "

"The hotel is tucked away in Bergen, which is a very beautiful little high-end village near Alkmaar, The Netherlands. We stayed only for one night -- 17 hours to be precise -- as part of a larger group gathering. The group dinner was held at the hotel, and it was outstanding and highly recommended. Staff are nice. We had booked a room for two persons. Our room clean and with two windows overlooking a beautiful courtyard, but it was rather small -- about two feet on one side of a queen-size bed and a three-feet-band passage on the other sides -- with rather minimalistic furnishings and space. We had no room and place to put our luggage or unpack the immediate necessities. If we stay there again, we will definitely urge for a larger room. "

"The service was excellent the owner was welcoming and friendly. He helped us with our painters and bicycles and offered bike parking which was very important for us. Very friendly & helpful staff. We enjoyed a complimentary coffee before leaving on our cycle trip to Texel . "
