"The staff were friendly and I liked parking right in front of your room/train car. The mattresses were all uncomfortable- that’s my main complaint. There’s not a lot of space in the room but that is to be expected because it’s a train car. You go for the uniqueness of the stay not for the 5 star amenities. My kids loved watching the Strasburg railroad train go by. The restaurant there is pretty good and the servers were all excellent and friendly. You can see the train from the restaurant windows too. In the restaurant gift shop there is a model train you have to pay a dollar to run on the ceiling and my son really enjoyed that. There is a little petting zoo out front that you can put a quarter in to get some food and feed the alpacas, donkey, and goats. We enjoyed our stay and will likely return. "

"We stayed here on our way to OC, Maryland 30 years ago & property is the same (70’s decor). It’s clean and hot water was extremely hot. It’s great for showers but be aware for small children."

"The stay was wonderful and excellent for kids. In the future, breakfast included would be amazing, and a lifeguard on duty indoors, as well. We would highly recommend family stay there. "

"The place is very dirty. There were crumbs on the floor in the room, and the shower was not properly cleaned. The elevator entrance was wet and stained with who knows what. I would say bring your own bed and sheets, or stay in your car (even better). "

"Room was very quaint. Old school Lancaster vibes. It was clean, beds were comfy, shower was ok. Bagels, yogurt, cereal, hard boiled eggs and cheese sticks for grab and go breakfast. Coffee was hot and good. Staff was super nice."
