"Hotel was nice, we really enjoyed the pool and the rooms. We did find that the what in the shower kept going hot and cold but not the end of the world. However something in the room made my partner have an allergic reaction so I'd you have allergies it might be worth bringing up in case it's a pet friendly room"
"Parking is a bit of a squeeze but we did get a space although there is ample, easier parking at the library close by. We didn’t stay for breakfast so cannot comment on that.
Initial receptionist (Easter Sunday) was okay but the receptionist on Easter Monday was friendly, informative and quite lovely which Sunday reception could maybe take a leaf from.
Room was so airy, quiet and big so it was a shame to not have twin beds for our teens (who are big) and had to share a small sofa bed, in comparison mine and my husband’s bed was comfortable and big, very nice but felt a bit guilty. Luckily there was a little window area so my youngest son took over that area, pulling the net curtain to while my older son sat on the bed.
Hotel exterior is so stunning and location is absolutely fabulous. I will return."
"Clean room, usual tea/coffee tray. Very high bath though, not really suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Food in the pub was good and all the staff were lovely."
"Typical city centre hotel, built for busiess travellers. The hotel looks a little tires and is in need of redecoration. There is a privaye gym/leisure centre wihin the hotel, that menat that there was a lot of fottfall in that area, which wasn't idea; when trying to get to your room, and there wasa big smell of cholrine and sweat. Breakfast was not included, but I was happy to pay extra, and was good value and tasty. Whatr was not impressive was the surly attitude of a male member of staff who seemed more interested in gossiping with his colleagues than providing a poite service to guests."
