Expedia Screw Up

Was unable to stay at property because despite having an Expedia booking confirmation code, property did not honor same on the basis that they did not have the room available and due to Expedia mix up they were unable to honor the booking. Was advised that due to the Expedia error I would not have been charged as my credit card was merely to hold the room and I could pay later, but I was still charged the full rate and did not receive a refund. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this booking and will not recommend this property to anyone. Damian

Ok, unlikely to return

The amount of space made this a decent value, with comfortable beds and kitchen with lots of utensils. If you're looking for a good value for a large group, Casa Chachalaca could be nice for a couple days. The owner was pleasant and we were well attended in the first couple days, but then ignored until the day before we left. There are a few deficiencies to be aware of. We stayed 9 nights and got clean sheets and towels once. This was a problem because everything was moldy. The handyman, who was also the maid was not concerned about service. The WiFi went out frequently and was terribly slow. The provided water cooler leaked and we were given a mop to clean it up as well as a broom to sweep up ants ourselves. The location is well outside of town on an unfinished road. A car is advisable, but it is a very bumpy ride. This is also a new development, so construction crews started work daily at 7am. I recommend this place for a short budget stay, not more than a few days.

Aguas con lo que ofrecen por internet

Pésimo, fue la peor inversión, el apartamento es agradable por dentro pero no hay jardines como anuncian, todo es monte, no hay servicios cerca pues esta lejísimos del centro y de alguna playa, y por lo tanto ni la señal de internet llega aunque te la ofrezcan gratis, no hay tv ni el aparcamiento q dicen el vehículo se queda en la calle. Para llegar al lugar es complicado todo muy oscuro y el acceso con terraceria, sólo es un apartamento y ante tal descripción podrán imaginarse que obviamente no hay las actividades de playa que ofrecen. Por cierto si son alérgicos a los animales menos intenten ir porque hay muchos gatos y perros a los cuales mis hijos son alérgicos y se enfermaron por lo q tuve q salirme en la madrugada y perdí mi dinero de la manera más tonta y mis días de descanso se arruinaron

Belle résidence mais difficile d'accès

Nous sommes resté 1 seule nuit dans cette résidence.Très bon accueil de la gérante qui nous a tout de suite trouvé une solution de rechange suite à un problème de réservation. L'appartement piscine au rez de chaussée de la résidence était très confortable. Nos filles ont dormi sur le canapé lit dans la cuisine et le frigo a malheureusement fait beaucoup de bruit dans la nuit...le problème majeur est l'accès en voiture particulière : Situé tout au bout de Tulum, les routes sont en cours de travaux et ressemblent pour l'instant à des pistes.
