Former housing estate, Greendykes. The current map has this as houses. Housing stock in Niddrie was very poor and it seems that much of the area has been levelled. There are lots of new Scandinavian looking blocks of flats in some parts. No doubt this "field" will be built upon soon. (There are new houses behind the camera.)

February 2015 A view along Grassmarket in Edinburgh, taken while spending a weekend in this great city. There are many areas of Edinburgh to explore and having spent a couple of hours on a walking tour here, I would thoroughly recommend this as a way of getting to know those places off the usual tourist track.
