"We mostly enjoyed our 1 night stay at the hotel, but I could not get much sleep due to the ac/heat unit in the room making very loud banging/gurgling noises in the sink ?through the night whenever it kicked on, ended up having to shut it off and sleep hot (we are from Florida and prefer to sleep cold) . Could have opened the window , but then the midges come in. The sauna is very nice. Gorgeous views of the area."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was extremely nice and well located. The breakfast was well supplied and had a large selection to choose from. Dinner was excellent but a little pricey. I liked that they asked if we wanted a wake up knock if the northern lights could be seen from the hotel. We had a lovely stay"

"They had a great restaurant which is good because there isn’t much around the lake. So having a great breakfast was excellent. Good firm bed. The location was excellent with the ranger station & craters all within a quick walk across the street."

"Spacious rooms with clean facilities and cute but also informational art about icelandic culture. This location offered many on-sight amenities like tea kettles, microwaves, dishes, silverware, towels, and a common area. Really great stay for those needing or wanting to stay in between husavik and akureyri. Staff was extremely helpful as well when we were running late for our check in, all we had to do was message them and let them know we were running late and they sent us access instructions. Would definitely stay here again."

"The room was quite modern and comfortable and the hot tub was a lovely added bonus with the beautiful views from the balcony. However, we were unable to find the reception as indicated in emails. We wanted extra towels but had no way to contact as we did not have the ability to phone with our cellulars. It would have been nice to have been able to speak with someone in person at some point during our stay."
