I really loved stayed in Alto Verde Hostería, mainly due to kindness of the personnel (propietarios). Very convenient to stay close to El Calafate downtown and two blocks from the Argentina’s Lake at the same time. Very close from good restaurants such La Lechuza. You can walk to Letras EL Calafate. Overall, great staying…!!!

This hosteria was suitable for our family of five. We had two rooms that were comfortable and clean. Breakfast included was standard with coffee, toast, ham and cheeses. Location is in more residential area but close enough to walk to main tourist area if you don't mind a walk. Also close to Lagoon Nimez and restaurants El Cucharon and La Catina which are worth checking out!

Above and Beyond

This was the perfect spot for a three-night stay in El Calafate. It was just a few blocks off the main drag which makes it quiet and less busy, and just a few blocks from the lakefront and Laguna Nimez. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful and went above and beyond to assist us with a flight ticketing issue that we had. Highly recommend for your stay in El Calafate.

Small, uninspiring hotel. Walking distance to town. A disappointing stay based on the reviews. It is a basic small hotel. No charm, nothing to recommend it. Front desk staff speak NO English. Only stayed one night as it was not what we had hoped it would be. Unable to cancel second night. There are better hotels at the same price.

Es un hostel no esperes algo mejor

Es un hostel 3 estrellas y esta un poco viejo y la limpieza no me gusto los cubrecamas no los cambian de huésped a huésped solo las sabanas y hay muchas arañas y telarañas dentro del cuarto, hay polvo en los muebles a simple vista. Sin embargo el personal es atento amable y te recomiendan buenas actividades.

A dona foi super atenciosa conosco, nos recebeu bem e estava sempre a disposição para ajudar. O quarto tinha bom espaço e ficava a 10 min da avenida principal. O que nos incomou foram as mais de 10 aranhas que matamos no quarto e os rodapés bem empoeirados. Por esse motivo, eu não voltaria.

It was modern and very clean. Comfortable bed. Adequate breakfast. 10 minute walk to town. 10 minute walk to a wetland reserve with lots of birds including flamingos.
