"Well there is a lot to unpack here, this is not a horrible hotel, I would consider staying here again as a matter of fact. Positives - the lobby looked clean and smelled clean, the staff was helpful when checking in we had to split our room payment because I was traveling with a friend and that was easy and simple. "It's super close to the different monuments. Gettysburg isn't a big town, but the places near Lincoln Square are still very crowded. This hotel is not in that area and therefore offers a quiet atmosphere while still being very walkable to all of the different places. It also offers a great complimentary breakfast. "We stayed in the Welty House section of the property. It was odd in that there was no parlor or common room to sit in. The room was ok. Nothing too special but it had an attached sitting room with more space & a large bathroom. Odd again was the balcony off the bathroom. We couldn’t find a glass or plastic cup anywhere for a drink of water…or even a complimentary bottled water. One advantage was in the heart of the historic district. "Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better."

"My kids had a great time during our stay here. Their family suite was awesome! We didn't expect it to be like that. The pool was clean, cozy and nice manager. I think she's Amy (?), she checked us in a little early and was so nice to upgrade us to the family suite which was so perfect! It had a mini kitchen complete with full fridge, sink, tables and chairs and separate sleeping area for the kids. They loved the breakfast and the pool!"
