"The hotel was lovely very nice room and spa facilities were good. Pool a bit small but perfect for a dip. Unfortunately the music from the reception area was booming all day and night so I got little to no sleep. Very disappointing when on a business trip and needing to be well rested the next day. By 11.30 pm I went to reception and asked them to turn it down. Originally I had thought it was some kind of disco from the restaurant it was so loud! "The property is at a very calm place and has been running since 1650 which is amazing fact. The room I’ve stayed in was a attic converted into a room. The room and bed was good but felt a old smell which needs made it feel that it needs a room freshner across the rooms and houses. There was good and spacious car park and within 10-15 min drive from lot of English heritage sites. I would like to see a bottled water in rooms along with towels as it felt wrong to grab water from sink. The staff...

"We loved everything about our stay here. The staff was amazing! Easy to talk to, and always available for any questions we had. The rooms were great. Big room with a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"The welcome we received at check in was probably the best welcome ever at a hotel. Our room was squeaky clean and we had a gorgeous relaxing view over the golf course. We ate in the onsite restaurant one evening, sensibly priced and great food, again the staff were exceptional. We loved the use of the pool and its other facilities. All in all it was a fabulous stay, we hope to visit again."

"The pub is friendly with good food and staff. The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. "
